Radon Mitigation System & Jackal Lid Disassembly: Accessing the Sump Pump

Step 1. Unplug radon fan from the electrical supply.

Step 2. Loosen the 2 metal straps on the rubber coupler holding the fan using a 5/16 hex bit or a flathead screwdriver. Slide the rubber boot up.

Step 3. Remove the blower fan by loosening the top strap below the boot.

Step 4. Loosen the wall bracket.

Step 5. Unscrew the radon pipe attached to the sump lid by turning it counterclockwise.

Step 6. Loosen the black ABS plumbing pipe.

Step 7. Remove the 8 screws from the top of the lid platform (outer ring only).
